Dunveganoceras (Plesiacanthoceras) wyomingense

Taxonomy
Metoicoceras wyomingensis was named by Reagan (1924). Its type specimen is LSJU 119, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. It is the type species of Plesiacanthoceras.

It was recombined as Plesiacanthoceras wyomingense by Haas (1964), Cobban (1987) and Kennedy and Cobban (1990); it was recombined as Acanthoceras wyomingense by Hattin (1975); it was recombined as Dunveganoceras (Plesiacanthoceras) wyomingense by Wright et al. (1996).
