Arca sakamizuensis was named by Hatai and Nisiyama (1952) [DISTRIBUTION: Oligocene; North Pacific.]. It is not a trace fossil.
It was recombined as Arca (Arca) sakamizuensis by Kafanov et al. (2001); it was recombined as Lamarcka sakamizuensis by Vermeij and Amano (2021).
