Taxonomy
Cardium anguliferum was named by Roemer (1850). Its type specimen is TUCLP-Bi 77 and is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Cardiola angulifera by Gürich (1896); it was recombined as Buchiola angulifera by Paeckelmann (1922); it was recombined as Buchiola (Megabuchiola) angulifera by Grimm (1998), Kriz (2004).
