Globodiscus kiliani
Taxonomy
Globodiscus kiliani was named by Hautmann et al. (2021) [= 2019 Aviculopectinoidea, gen. et sp. nov.; Friesenbichler et al., p. 13, figs. 4E–G.]. Its type specimen is LPBIIIL 2021 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Mahmudia Quarry, Caeracul Mare Hill, sample 114, which is in a Bithynian reef, buildup or bioherm bindstone in the Caerace Formation of Romania. It is the type species of Globodiscus.
