Taxonomy
Cymatosyrinx palmerae was named by Harris and Palmer (1947). It is not extant. Its type specimen is PRI 4969. Its type locality is Danville Landing, which is in a Priabonian marginal marine marl in the Moodys Branch Formation of Louisiana.
