Taxonomy
Terebra abditiva was named by Harris and Palmer (1947). Its type specimen is PRI 4799 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is PRI Moodys Branch marl locality 10, which is in a Bartonian marine marl in the Moodys Branch Formation of Mississippi.
