Taxonomy
Pygopistes parrasae was named by Parma and Casadío (2005). Its type specimen is PMOZ4087, an exoskeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is General Roca, which is in a Danian deep subtidal ramp marl in the Roca Formation of Argentina.

subparallel and open, posterior ones longer; phyllodes long, slightly widened, with seven to 12 pairs of pores on each outer series and four to six on each inner series; no buccal pores; adoral surface uniformly tuberculate with no naked zone.
