Taxonomy
Lingula davidsoni was named by Barrande (1879) [Lingula Davidsoni]. Its type specimen is L 25971, a valve (pedicle valve), and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Plectoglossa davidsoni by Havlicek (1998).
