Taxonomy
Pecten kokcharofi was named by de Verneuil (1845). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Chidrova, near mouth of Vaga River, which is in a Roadian carbonate limestone in the Russian Federation.
It was recombined as Aviculopecten kokcharofi by Branson (1948).
