It was corrected as Lingulepis morsii by Miller (1889); it was recombined as Lingula morsii by Hall and Clarke (1892); it was recombined as Lingula morsei by Schuchert (1897) and Bassler (1915); it was recombined as Lingulella morsensis by Cooper (1956).
