Taxonomy
Knemiceras lanceolatum was named by Latil and Jaillard (2023). Its type specimen is UJF-ID.15127, a shell, and it is a mold. Its type locality is BOA.6, Bir Oum Ali North, which is in an Albian carbonate limestone in the Zebbag Formation of Tunisia.
