Taxonomy
Pericyclus (Helicocyclus) gracillimus was named by Schindewolf (1951). It is a mold. It is the type species of Helicocyclus, Pericyclus (Helicocyclus).

It was recombined as Helicocyclus gracillimus by Furnish et al. (2009), Becker (2023).
