Diagnosis
ReferenceDiagnosis
H. E. Rivera-Sylva et al. 2024Differs from Yaguarasaurus columbianus in having a relatively shorter and broader frontal (157% frontal length versus 175% frontal lenth), broader and more rounded poterolateral ala of the frontals, strong posterior lappets of the frontal extending around the parietal table and distally expanded to form a strongly interlocking joint, a frontoparietal contact lacking a median process of the frontal, and instead with a deep embayment for the parietal; frontoparietal suture 70% of parietal width (versus 81% in Y. columbianus); parietal short, midline length 82% of frontal width (versus 94% in Y. columbianus). The strong distal expansion of the parietal lateral tabs is an autapomorphy of the species.
