Taxonomy
Calumma benovskyi was named by Čerňanský et al. (2020). Its type specimen is KNM-RU 18340, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Rusinga Island R107, which is in a Burdigalian dry floodplain horizon in the Hiwegi Formation of Kenya.
