Taxonomy
Megadiscosorus inopinatus was named by Foerste (1925). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lots 6 and 7, con. VI, 3 miles north of Earlton post office, Armstrong township, which is in a Telychian carbonate limestone in the Thornloe Formation of Canada.
