Squirmarius testai
Taxonomy
Squirmarius testai was named by McCoy et al. (2023). Its type specimen is FMNH PF 17809 and is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Pit 11, Braidwood, Mazon Creek (FMNH coll), which is in a Westphalian D deltaic mudstone in the Carbondale Formation of Illinois. It is the type species of Squirmarius.
