Neodesmoceras catarinae

Taxonomy
Parapachydiscus catarinae was named by Anderson and Hanna (1935). Its type specimen is CAS 1431.01, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is CAS 1431, Catarina Landing, which is in a Maastrichtian marine siliciclastic in the Rosario Formation of Mexico.

It was recombined as Pachydiscus (Neodesmoceras) catarinae by Matsumoto (1960); it was recombined as Neodesmoceras catarinae by Ward et al. (2012).
