Diagnosis
ReferenceDiagnosis
M. Bilotta 2010Small-sized compressed platycone shells. Very evolute inner whorls with subrounded section and involute to moderately involute outer whorls, with sub-elliptic higher than wide section. The test always shows sinuous lateral striae that
cross the venter, where they fade and form a more or less marked chevron; the internal mould can be completely smooth or ornated by ribs reproducing the same pattern of the striae.
Body chamber with sinuous ribs or hemi-ribs, which near the ventro-lateral edge originate short cuneiform tubercle-spines. Pseudoceratitic and sometimes asymmetrical suture; simple E lobe, slightly longer than L, which has two or three terminalindentations and is as large as U2 or more; LS1 saddle more advanced than ES; sub-lituid I lobe
