Diagnosis
ReferenceDiagnosis
M. Bilotta 2010Compressed platycone shell, with very evolute
inner whorls and moderately evolute outer whorls. The whorl
overlapping is always small. Sub-elliptic whorl section, higher
than wide, with nearly straight sides and slightly rounded
ventral area. The phragmocone is completely smooth, whereas
the body chamber shows biconcave constrictions involving the
outermost part of the flank and the ventral area, clearly visible
only on internal moulds. When the test is preserved, sinuous
striae more accentuated on the venter can be noted as well.
(Pseudo)ceratitic suture, with E lobe greatly shifted from the
middle of the whorl and as large as L, which is slightly longer
than U2; LS1 saddle usually less advanced than ES.
