Physodoceras hoplisus
Taxonomy
Ammonites hoplisus was named by Oppel (1863). It is not extant. Its type locality is Eichstätt, Solnhofen (Oppel collection), which is in a Tithonian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Solnhofen Formation of Germany.
It was recombined as Physodoceras hoplisus by Scherzinger et al. (2018).
