Taxonomy
Ammonites coynarti was named by d'Orbigny (1844). Its type specimen is MNHN.F.R04089 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Les Cottards, nr Saint George de Poisieux, which is in a Pliensbachian marine horizon in France.
It was recombined as Radstockiceras coynarti by Enay et al. (1994).
