Pecten (Propeamusium) clallamensis was named by Arnold (1906). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Pillar Point, west, which is in a Chattian marine siltstone in the Pysht Formation of Washington.
It was recombined as Propeamussium clallamensis by Moore (1963).
