Taxonomy
Ammonites microstoma was named by d'Orbigny (1846). Its type specimen is MNHN.F.A04839 and is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Bullatimorphites (Kheraiceras) bullatus microstoma by Enay et al. (1994).
