Discinisca messii
Taxonomy
Discinisca messii was named by Pérez et al. (2023). Its type specimen is CNP-PIIc 641, a valve (Articulated dorsal and ventral valves ), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Isla Escondida, which is in a Miocene offshore sandstone in the Gaiman Formation of Argentina.

Ventral valve sculptured by regularly concentric bands with an acute triangular profile in transversal section, inclined from the centre towards margins. |
