Taxonomy

Surcula evermanni was named by Hanna (1924).

S. inarata, S. miqueli, S. koeneni, S. camposi, Turris djiki

Synonyms

Turris pulchra was named by Dickerson (1915). Its type specimen is CAS 338, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UW 1, Cowlitz Formation, which is in a Bartonian marine horizon in the Cowlitz Formation of Washington.

It was replaced with Surcula evermanni by Hanna (1924); it was recombined as Hemipleurotoma pulchra by Turner (1938).
