Taxonomy
Dawsonophis wyomingensis was named by Holman (1979). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Badwater Locality 6, which is in an Uintan terrestrial horizon in the Wagon Bed ("Tepee Trail") Formation of Wyoming.
