Churkites subungunensis
Taxonomy
Churkites subungunensis was named by Zakharov and Smyshlyaeva (2024). Its type specimen is DVGI 110/853, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Western SMID quarry (Anasibirites nevolini zone), which is in a Smithian marine horizon in the Zhitkov Formation of the Russian Federation.
