Taxonomy
Ammonites tuguriensis was named by Hébert and Eudes-Deslongchamps (1860). It is not extant. Its type specimen is MHNLM 2003.1.4132 & MNHN.F.J01369.

It was recombined as Macrocephalites tuguriensis by Douvillé (1914).
