Taxonomy
Vyscystis spinosa was named by Wang et al. (2024). Its type specimen is NIGP176281 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Quarry near Dananzhuang, which is in a Series 2 transition zone/lower shoreface mudstone in the Mantou Formation of China.
