Gareth Jones 1969 | Perithecia solitary to aggregated, immersed or partly immersed in the substratum, pale to dark brown in colour, with a well-defined wall, and a short neck lined with periphyses. Asci long-cylindrical with a short foot, 8-spored, unitunicate and lacking paraphyses. Ascospores triseptate with brown central cells and hyaline end cells.
