Taxonomy
Conotreta andina was named by Lavié et al. (2019). Its type specimen is CEGH-UNC 27362, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Las Aguaditas Creek section, lower part, which is in a Darriwilian marine mudstone/shale in the Las Aguaditas Formation of Argentina.
