Taxonomy
Aerobius dactylus was named by Mapalo et al. (2024). Its type specimen is MCZ PALE-45862 and is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Cedar Lake (Legg collection), which is in a Campanian terrestrial amber in Canada. It is the type species of Aerobius.
