Picollier 2022Rostrum slender, up to 68 mm long; dorsoventrally depressed, except for very juvenile stages, which are sub cylindrical; anteriorly less depressed than posteriorly; slightly hastate in outline and profile; dorsal alveolar groove narrow, not reaching mucronate apex; alveolus circular, reaching half of the rostrum in adult stage, ∼18°; double lateral lines faint, sometimes reduced to simple flat surfaces.
