Taxonomy
Tricolnaticopsis elongatus was named by Dominici (2024). Its type specimen is MGP-PD 33085, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is PEL98, Pelsa-Vazzoler, which is in a Longobardian perireef or subreef limestone in the Sciliar Formation of Italy.
