Taxonomy
Ophioceras deciduum was named by Hyatt (1867). It is not extant. Its type specimen is GBW 1856/001/0010. It is the type species of Pleurechioceras.

It was recombined as Pleurechioceras deciduum by Trueman and Williams (1925).
