Mesopunctia microspinosa
Taxonomy
Notospirifer microspinosus was named by Waterhouse (1968). Its type specimen is NZGS BR 1250, a shell (Articulated internal mold), and it is a mold. Its type locality is GS4651, Deep Creek (G45/f8592), which is in a Wuchiapingian marine horizon in the AG4 Formation of New Zealand.
It was recombined as Mesopunctia microspinosa by Waterhouse (1998).
