Virgula rigida constricta

Taxonomy
Virgula rigida constricta was named by Girty (1909) [Virgula rigida var. constricta]. Its type specimen is USNM 118132 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS 2926 green, Capitan Peak, Guadalupe Mountains, which is in a Capitanian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Capitan Formation of Texas.

It was recombined as Minispongia constricta by Rigby et al. (1998).
