Taxonomy
Dayongaspis colubra was named by Zhang et al. (2024). Its type specimen is IVPP V26112.1a and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Maoyanhe town, Dayongaspis colubra type locality, which is in a Telychian carbonate siltstone/shale in the Xiushan Formation of China.
