Ferganoceratodus edwardsi
Taxonomy
Ferganoceratodus edwardsi was named by Challands et al. (2024). Its type specimen is NHMZ 2432(9), a partial skull (pterygoid tooth plate separated from the pterygoid), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is The Dentist / Coprolite Hill, which is in a Carnian crevasse splay mudstone in the Pebbly Arkose Formation of Zimbabwe.
