Xeneichthys yanesi
Taxonomy
Xeneichthys yanesi was named by Arratia and González-Rodríguez (2024). Its type specimen is UAHMP 1063, a skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Muhi quarry, which is in an Albian/Cenomanian deep subtidal shelf lime mudstone in the El Doctor Formation of Mexico. It is the type species of Xeneichthys.
