Taxonomy
Cheirocystis liexiensis was named by Liu et al. (2024). Its type specimen is NIGP 179798 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Liexi fauna, which is in a Floian deep subtidal shelf packstone/lime mudstone in the Madaoyu Formation of China.
