Discussion

The species "Gobiida" bicornuta was assigned to "Gobius" bicornutus (Lin, Girone & Nolf, 2015) in Lin et al. Taxonomy
Gobiida bicornuta was named by Lin et al. (2015). Its type specimen is P 9429, an otolith (sagitta), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Moncucco Torinese, which is in a Tortonian deep-water sandstone in the Sant’Agata Fossili Formation of Italy.
