Taxonomy
Protobrama woodwardi was named by Taverne and Gayet (2004). Its type specimen is FSL-573084, a skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Hadjoula (FSL collection), which is in a Cenomanian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Sannine Limestone Formation of Lebanon.
