Atractites otapiriensis

Taxonomy
Belemnites otapiriensis was named by Hector (1878). It is not extant. Its type locality is Caroline Cutting, Oreti Valley, which is in a Ladinian/Carnian marine horizon in New Zealand.

It was recombined as Orthoceras otapiriensis by Marshall (1909); it was recombined as Atractites otapiriensis by Bohm (1910), Thomson (1913); it was considered a nomen dubium by Trechmann (1917).
