Diagnosis
Reference | Diagnosis | |
---|---|---|
J. A. Long et al. 2014 | A buchanosteoid arthrodire with a skull in which the lateral articular fossa of the paranuchal is broad and shallow, the ratio of width of the fossa to the outer edge of fossa to midline is ∼50%. AMV of trunk shield with wide flaring anterolateral angles separating IL from AVL plates; AVLs evidently separating AMV from PMV; PVL plate lacking ventrolateral ridge; left PVL extensively overlaps right plate. Dermal ornamentation of the skull comprising closely packed aligned tubercles; on the trunk armour tubercles show asymmetrical caps, often with multiple secondary cap overgrowth. Ornament of scales comprising tightly bunched stellate tubercles with 5–8 radiating ridges, these ridges with a distinctive micro-ornament of serrated ledges. |
