Bochianites oosteri was named by Sarison and Schöndelmayer (1902) [DISTRIBUTION: Early Cretaceous.]. It is not a trace fossil.
It was synonymized subjectively with Bochianites neocomiensis by Reboulet (1996), Klein et al. (2007); it was recombined as Janenschites oosteri by Cadena et al. (2025).
