Tenupiscis dakotaensis
Taxonomy
Tenupiscis dakotaensis was named by Stack et al. (2025). Its type specimen is FMNH PF 3712, a skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Quarry Park, Rapid City, which is in a Kungurian shallow subtidal limestone in the Minnekahta Formation of South Dakota. It is the type species of Tenupiscis.
