It was recombined as Globigerinoita index by Mallory (1959); it was recombined as Globigerapsis index by Quilty (1969); it was recombined as Globigerinatheka (Globigerapsis) index by Jenkins (1971); it was recombined as Globigerinatheka index by Stainforth et al. (1975); it was recombined as Globigerina index by Stott and Kennett (1990); it was synonymized subjectively with Globigerinatheka barri by Premoli Silva et al. (2006).
