Jaworskiella siemonmulleri was named by Poulton (1979). Its type specimen is USNM 219930, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is GSC loc. 20117, which is in a Sinemurian marine horizon in Canada.
It was recombined as Moerickella siemonmulleri by Echevarría et al. (2021).
