Taxonomy
Costispirifer arenosus dobbinensis was named by Merriam (1973). Its type specimen is USNM 159594, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS M1309, Dobbin Summit, which is in a Pragian carbonate limestone in the Rabbit Hill Limestone Formation of Nevada.
